Welcome to our family theater room!
This is my hubby’s baby. We had a room up above our garage pre-tornado that was intended to be his art studio but then slowly transformed into his man cave/semi-theater room.
When we rebuilt, he decided to make it a true theater room equipped with only the best (in our price range, of course) equipment, but your not here to read about surround sound and projectors are you? Let’s take a tour!
Once you reach the top of the stairs, if you turn to your left you’ll be standing in the theater room. If you go to the right, through a set of french doors, that is my office/craft room but we’ll be touring that in another post.
Popcorn or candy anyone? Or how about some coffee? I usually go for the coffee….stick me in a dark room and I’ll be out in no time…….zzzzzzz. If you want me to make it through a movie, gimme all the coffee please!
We added this little nook across from the sink this time so we could tuck away a few things like the fridge, a microwave and of course all the ugly equipment. Our movie collection is quite a bit larger than shown, the rest of them are in our family room downstairs. I think I’m going to have to find a better solution for the theater room so we can get the rest of them where they belong.
To personalize our space, we all picked out a poster of our favorite movie. Both girls chose Frozen, of course.
The movie ticket pillows were a fun find. As you can tell, they’ve already been very loved. I also have blankets and throws in baskets in front under the movie screen.
